Colostrum Cream & Kefir Cleanser Combo
Colostrum
First milk. Our most concentrated formula.
Caprine colostrum from our own herd, with marula, abyssinian, and evening primrose. The signature one.
Colostrum is the first milk a goat produces after kidding. It is not ordinary milk. It is the concentrated feed a newborn receives in its first hours, carrying lactic acid, amino acids, enzymes, growth factors, immunoglobulins, minerals, peptides, and vitamins at a density the animal will not produce again that year. There is a narrow window each season to collect it, and it is short. What we collect goes straight from the parlor into our cleanroom the same day — not dried, not shipped, not handled by anyone outside the farm.
Ours is caprine. Goat, not cow. Most colostrum skincare on the market is bovine and bought in from a supplier, which means it has been processed, stored, and traded before it ever reaches a formula. Ours comes off our own herd on our Washington farm, from animals we raise and know by name. That is the only reason we can make this at all, and it is also the reason we can only make so much of it each year.
It is the richest thing we make. Organic marula and abyssinian oils carry it — marula for its stability and its light finish, abyssinian for the way it sinks in instead of sitting on the surface. Evening primrose and sea buckthorn round it out. CoQ10 and fulvic acid finish it. MSM is in here, as it is in every Artisan formula.
Used consistently, skin looks plumper and fine lines look softer. Texture evens out. The look of scarring settles down. A little goes a long way, and we mean that as an instruction rather than a compliment. This is a pea-sized amount, warmed between the fingertips and pressed into clean skin rather than rubbed in. Using more will not get you there faster. Most people find one jar lasts far longer than they expected.
- Caprine colostrum — goat, not bovine, from our own herd
- Organic marula, abyssinian, evening primrose, and sea buckthorn
- CoQ10 and fulvic acid
- MSM in every batch
- Our most concentrated formula — use sparingly
- Made on our Washington farm
Good for you if:
You are working on fine lines, texture, or the look of scarring. You want the most concentrated thing we make. Or you have tried retinol and found it too irritating and are looking for another route to the same concerns.
Start with Face Cream instead if:
You want one everyday moisturizer for morning and night. Colostrum is the step up, not the starting point. Plenty of people run Face Cream daily and reach for this one at night, or in the seasons when their skin needs more.
Worth knowing:
This is a dairy product. If you have a severe dairy allergy, check with your doctor first. And because collection is limited to one window each season, batches are finite. When a batch is gone, the next one waits on the goats.
Kefir Cleanser
The step before everything else.
Goat milk kefir, manuka honey, and bamboo, in a cleanser that does not strip. Our only rinse-off product.
Kefir is fermented goat milk. Fermentation raises the lactic acid the milk already carries, and that is what makes this cleanse and gently resurface at the same time rather than simply wash. Lactic acid at this level loosens dull surface cells without the sting of an acid toner or the abrasion of a scrub. The milk comes from our own herd on our Washington State farm and is cultured on-site, in small batches, by the same people who do the milking.
The surfactants are the gentle kind: sodium cocoyl apple amino acids and decyl glucoside, both sugar- and amino-acid-derived rather than sulfates. It lathers lightly — a soft, low foam rather than a dense one — and rinses clean without the tight, squeaky feeling that tells you a cleanser took your barrier along with the day. Squeaky is not clean. Squeaky is stripped.
Organic manuka honey, bamboo extract, squalane, and jojoba do the conditioning. Honey holds water at the surface, bamboo brings silica, squalane and jojoba keep the lipid layer intact through the rinse. Sodium hyaluronate is in the formula, and MSM is here as it is in every Artisan product. There are no parabens, no titanium dioxide, and no synthetic fragrance — the scent is what the ingredients bring on their own.
Use it morning and night on damp skin, working a small amount over the face for twenty or thirty seconds before rinsing. It removes sunscreen and light makeup on its own; heavier makeup is easier with an oil or balm first. Follow with whichever of our creams suits your skin — Face Cream for everyday, Colostrum when you want the concentrated step.
- Goat milk kefir, cultured on our own farm
- Sulfate-free — amino acid and sugar-derived surfactants
- Organic manuka honey, bamboo extract, and squalane
- Sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) and MSM
- No parabens, titanium dioxide, or synthetic fragrance
- Made on our Washington farm
Good for you if:
Your current cleanser leaves your skin tight. You want gentle exfoliation without a scrub or an acid. Or you are already using our creams and want the step in front of them, so that what you put on afterward has clean, undisturbed skin to work with.
Worth knowing:
This is a dairy product. If you have a severe dairy allergy, check with your doctor first. It contains peppermint oil, so keep it well away from the eyes — a little goes wide when you rinse, and it will let you know if it gets where it should not. This is our only rinse-off product; everything else we make stays on the skin.
